Hi Ian, Bai, Wang, and Li!

https://edci335learningpod7.opened.ca

Great topic choice for your interactive learning resource! I previously had very little knowledge of the subject so thank you for teaching me aspects of Chinese food. For providing feedback I will write it in bullet points with subheadings for each of your sections.

Learning Context:

Great explanation of the learning context of your interactive resource. I especially enjoyed how this learning resource will attract people from all backgrounds to be involved.

Resource Overview and Rationale:

Your group came up with a great rationale for your learning resource! That was a great point you guys made about connecting individuals’ prior understanding to Chinese cuisine will encourage others to draw upon their own life experiences and personal opinions.

Inclusion for Diverse Learners:

Great choice on using York University program ‘Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education.’ I liked how you provided options for learning and didn’t assume that all students would have access to a computer. Another detail I really enjoyed about this page was how your group incorporated easy access to links by providing them in the sentence.

Assessment Plan:

This assessment plan was very well thought out! There are enough testing and engagement activities to test student’s knowledge. You also provide different types of testing abilities (ie. through reading, writing, watching videos, and personal reflection). Great work on this section!

Learning Outcomes and Activities:

I didn’t know there was such a thing as bone chopsticks, that is so cool! Each of the four components was very well laid out and easy to follow along. I especially enjoyed the visual demonstration on how to use chopsticks as that is something I definitely struggle with. There were numerous video instructions as well as historical backgrounds. I personally am a visual learner so I always appreciate watching videos for learning.

The only critique I have to point out is possibly numbering the titles of each subheading so users know the order in which they are open. Overall, the interactive learning resource was very awesome! It provided great detail about Chinese food and all the sentence structure and content were easy to follow along. Great work and thank you for teaching me about the history and how to properly use chopsticks!
